Office hours are from from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. School hours are 7:25am to 2:15 pm Monday Through Thursday & 7:25am to 1:15pm on Fridays.

Our Purpose: The mission of Silverland Middle School is to foster academic and social success for students while teaching responsibility and respect in a safe learning environment.


Camp Star Bound: is an overnight Musical Theater Camp for students in 5th grade through 8th grade. Camp dates are June 28th - July 4th. Please pick up a flyer in the office if you are interested or see Mrs. Galahan.

Hat Day: Thursday, May 21st. Pay $1 to wear your hat all day.

8th Grade Promotion: will be on Thursday May, 28th. The times for the promotion ceremonies are as follows: 9am - Orange Team(Mrs. Alexander, Ms. Rumbaugh, Mrs. Baumann, Mr. Fulton) 11am - Black Team(Mrs. Munier, Mrs. Gale, Mr. Adamson, Ms. Chapin)

Attention 8th Graders: You must be eligible to attend promotion activities at the end of the year. You must be academically eligible (no F's for 4th Quarter) and no APEP starting April 1st in order to participate in the BBQ and dance on May 28th. Grades will be checked on May 21st.

Attention 8th Graders: Are you looking for a way to get involved at Fernley High? Do you like taking pictures and attending school events? The FHS Yearbook Committee is looking for interested students to join their team. Application forms are available in the office and are due back by Friday, May 1st.

8th Graders: The Fernley Robotics Club is looking to expand its teams in the Fernley area. If you like programming large robots, having fun, working with others, meeting new people, and competing against other Nevada teams, then think about joining FRC (First Robotic Challenge) at FHS. No experience necessary! Please see the office or Mrs. Speth for an application or to answer any questions. Applications due on May 26th.

Attention 8th Graders: FHS Leadership applications are available in the office. The deadline to apply is May 26th.If you have already picked up an application, please pick up an additional page in the office.

8th Grade Memory Shirts: We have 30 shirts left. They are $10 each. Purchase one while supplies last.

7th Graders: Do you like STEM related activities? Why not join the award winning Fernley Robotics Club. We build and program robots, complete a research project and compete against other teams in northern Nevada! Who knows – maybe another trip to St. Louis World Championships. No experience necessary!

7th Gr. Girls: UNR is sponsoring a Math & Technology Camp July 12-17 for 7th grade girls. Please pick up applications in the office and must be sent in by May 22.

Boys& Girls Club Closures • Closed May 25th for Memorial Day • Open May 26-27, 2015 from 2:15pm to 6:00pm. We will be closed for lunches on these days. • Closed May 28-29, 2015 for training.

Library books: If you have a library book out please turn in as soon as possible. Remember if you have a fine or overdue book you are not allowed to participate in year end activities.

Hat Day: Thursday is hat day! Wear your hat all day for $1! Help support the 8th grade dance committee.
