Office hours are from from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. School hours are 7:25am to 2:15 pm Monday Through Thursday & 7:25am to 1:15pm on Fridays.
Our Purpose: The mission of Silverland Middle School is to foster academic and social success for students while teaching responsibility and respect in a safe learning environment.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS & DATES:
Homework Club: is open to all students, 7th and 8th grade and is offered every Tuesday in Ms. Rumbaugh's room #609 (yellow hall). When you attend homework club, you must stay until 3:30 and there are no buses to take you home. So, you must be picked up at 3:30 or walk home.
Tutoring: every Wednesday from 2:30pm to 3:30pm in Computer Lab 705.
Parent/Teacher Conferences: school will be released at 11am. Conferences will be on a drop in basis, no appointments necessary, starting at 12-3pm and from 4-6pm on Thursday, March 17th (one day only).
PTA Meeting: on Monday, Mach 21st at 6:30pm in the main office. Mark your calendars! We will be discussing nominations for next year's board members.
Spring Break: Begins on March 28th - April 1st. School resumes April 4th.
Attention all students: Please be aware that 2 tardies in one week equals a day of lunch detention.
ATTENTION 8th Grade Parents & Students: REQUIREMENTS FOR PROMOTION ACTIVITIES · Pass all classes and have credits to promote to 9th grade · No major discipline infractions (alternative placements) · Satisfactory citizenship (No U’s or N’s) · All library books turned in and no fines pending
The PE Dept. is selling sweat shirts & sweat pants for $20.00 each. Please see samples see in the office.
Yearbooks: are now $30. Make sure you purchase one soon because there are only a limited amount available and you do not want to miss out!
Coin Drive: The 8th grade promotion dance is fast approaching and we could use your help to make sure everything is perfect. Please consider donating your pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters to the penny collection tub in the library.
Boys & Girls Club would like to remind everyone that they're down the hall in room 508. It's only $20 for the year to join. Please stop by and talk to Miss Kaliegh or Miss Norma Jean for more details.
Box Tops: Please collect and turn in box tops to Mrs. Valentine in the library. Please help the PTA earn new books! Thanks for your support!
